1998 Honda Accord Car revs up and down

My 98 Honda Accord LX has been sitting for about 2 years. I decided to jump the battery yesterday and get it ready to sell. It cranked fine but when the jumper cables were taken off it started reving up and down continuously. When I drove it a couple of blocks it does not do it, only when sitting idle. Do you have any ideas what this could be?

I assume that it is doing this cold and warm. First try checking the coolant level for the radiator or cooling system. It needs to be full and it needs to have any air in the system bled out.

If that does not do it, check for vacuum leaks like a broken hose, gasket leak at say the intake manifold or the EGR valve could be have an issue.
