1997 Honda Accord Check Engine Light Turned on

First of all thank you so much for your donation.It all depends on what the code and problem is on how far you can drive it or if you will do further damage by driving.If it's running good then you should be safe to drive it to your shop tomorrow but like i said it's hard to tell without the code number's and not knowing what is going on with your car.Let me know what the shop say's tomorrow.

How are you going to know the code number without actually taking it to the mechanic? It is just an idiot light. I would have given you the code if I could see the code.

I was trying to be on the safe side with my answer you asked how far you could safely drive it with the check engine light on.So i said without knowing what the code was that it was hard to say if there would be any damage by driving it with the light on.Sorry you miss understood my answer you are correct you would need to take it to a shop or a auto part's like auto zone to have your code's read to know what the number's are.
