While accelerating or deaccelerating, the car vibrates at about 2200 rpm and stops vibrating at 2500 rpm and visa versa. If you put the transmission in neutral while deaccelerating the vibration stops. What's causing this. The engine idles smoothly and has good acceleration.

We can discount the engine; I don't think that's the problem. You could have a transmission problem but I would start with less innocuous things like tires.

Make sure your tires are balanced and not out-of-round.

It could also be a wheel bearing but, I think you should seriously check the driveaxles/CV joints. Certainly, a bad driveaxle/CV joint can cause vibrations; both during acceleration and at highway speeds.

If I were a gambling guy (which I am when it come to roulette) I would bet your driveaxles/CV joints. Let me know if this helps.
