1996 Honda Accord Key sticks in Ignition

Have had trouble getting the key out of the ignition. Thought it was the switch, but sometimes it did come out. I have found that if I disconnect the battery the key comes out just fine. What could it be?

Hi chasslat,

The key interlock is preventing the key from being released. Check if the gear shift is in P. Ensure the dash indicators are showing correctly the gear position.
