One night I drove around for about an hour and my car stopped moving, I held the accelerator and the engine revved up. But the car wouldn't move. I turned the car off and sat there for about 20 minutes. Then I started the car and it started moving again, but as soon as the car got warmed up it stopped moving again. What could possibly be wrong with my 96 Honda accord?

I would urge you to look further into this issue. I have a 1996 Honda Accord and have the same problem. Guess what, I have found others with the same issue. I replaced the tranny. Worked fine for a month, then. Same issue all over again. At this point I don't think that these failures are isolated. Are you having issues with your window's moving slowly? Any issues with door locks? Don't let anyone tell it's just the transmission either. I believe wholeheartedly now that this issue is deeper. I went to another site (carcomplaints. Com) and found 1,267 people complaining about their Accord and Civic transmissions. Mostly from Accords. You can pull codes all you want and take it to be repaired. Just be prepared to pay out your backside.
