1996 Honda Accord CV assemblies

I am attempting, for the first time, to replace the left and right half shafts. I cannot get the left half shaft seperated from the intermediate shaft. I have tried to pry it out with a prybar but it is stuck. What next?

Hi Richard,

This part is usually stuck very tight and you need to get the proper leverage before it can come out.

Try using 2 pry bars to even the forces applied to the joint.

Alternative is to remove the intermediate shaft together as an assy and if you wish to separate them, it would be much easier off the vehicle.
