My question is.I have a 1996 Accord and the check engine light just came on. We took it and had the codes read. The man stated that there was a "misfire" going on. Do you have any suggestions of repairs that I can make. I just replaced the plugs and wires about 20k miles ago. Could it be the fuel filter? And if so is this a difficult task? Thanks.

Hi Zackje07,

Without knowing what the code is, we are unable to provide any suggestions.

Please post the code for us to understand better.

The code is P0302. I know that this code indicates a misfire in cylinder 2, but what are some common things to check that may cause this? Thanks.

Hi Zackje07,

As far as I know, for your model P0302 does not apply. Some scanners cannot scan correctly so does not give you the correct info.

Behind the glovebox is the SCS connector, bridge it and let me know the blinks on the check engine light with ignition switch turned on.
