Every time I start the car overnight I need to pump the clutch and warm the car to be able to shift gears (for about 10 minutes). It is not too bad after I have it parked for 8 hours while I work (only 2 minutes max). The problem seems to be only when the car is cool.

Once I can get it to 1st gear I have to shift gears repeatedly till it becomes normal (1 minute). Then I have no problems.

I have checked the fluid and it is not loosing any fluid.

please advise. Thanks.

Hi luchango,

You need to pump because it is very low? Or is it the clutch refuse to release?

I pump the clutch by only stepping on it, no need to pull it, it releases by itself. However, I feel a slight change in pressure in the clutch since the gears start giving in (very small change in pressure).

I need to pump it because I cannot change gears.
Thanks.

Hi luchango,

I still don't know if it is the hydraulics or the clutch is at fault as you have not given me a clear answer.

Get some one to depress the clutch while you watch the slave cylinder push rod, does it move far?

Engage the first gear and with clutch depressed, start engine. Does the car feel like it wants to move forward as if the clutch is engaged?
