This is my father in-laws 1995 honda accord LX. The problem all started when he tried to start the car and the key kept kicking back out of the on position and dies. So he did something weired, he turned the car on and straped it to keep the key in the on position and drove it. After that the motor wouldn't even rotate. I thought maybe he fried the motor, so I replaced the motor with another 95 accord lx motor off ebay. Now it rotates but won't start. It was not getting any fuel or any spark. I tried listening for the fuel pump to start when key is in on position and heard nothing. I replaced the fuel pump, distributer cap and rotor, and spark plug wires. Still no sparks or sounds from fuel pump when the key is in the on position. I just want to mention that the old fuel pump does function when I rigged it up to the battery. I've ran out of ideas. Please help, thanks in advance.

The computer might not be getting an ignition reference signal therefore its not telling the control module/ignitor to fire the coil/s-check the distributor pick-up coil, crankshaft position sensor and camshaft sensor.

Also the computer is not energizing the injectors because it doesn't see a crank signal.
