Engine Cooling problem
1995 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

when we bought the car there was a wire running from the relay box to the plug on the fans. My husband removed this which in turn made the fans stop working all together now we can seem to get them going again, We have tested the switch on the the t-stat housing wired them together and only the condenser fan comes on not the rad. When we tested the plug by running a wire to one side of it the rad fan came on. Cant figure out where on earth the problem is. Another issue is the squeeling that the car makes when you start it to begin with any ideas that might help would be greatly appericated!

Hi cassandra1978,

The squealing noise should be from the drive belts. Check their conditions and tensions and replace/readjust if necessary.

Ther fans shpould come on together when the fan switch is grounded or if the Ac is turned on. Since only the condenser fan is working, the circuit for the radiator fan should be checked.

Did you test the fan relay?
When Ac is turned ON, does both or either fan turns on?
Is the underhood fuse # 21 (20 A ) good?
Did you check the fan control module under dash, right side of instrument panel)?
Does bridging the temperature switch A ( at right side of radiator ) work the radiator fan?
