I went to the Auto Wreckers the other day and retrieved 2 MAP Sensors.
I installed the first one it failed, I installed the second one it didn't resolve the problem either.
It's hard to believe that both sensors were defective, perhaps it's something else all together. What could it be?
My car continues to stall upon rapid decelleration(sp) and usually at the worst possible time, the middle of an intersection!
I was wondering, maybe it's an electrical problem, is the socket that connects to the sensor mal-functioning, possibly blowing the MAP sensor up every time I install a new one, I'd hate to purchase a new MAP sensor ($87) then destroy it by connecting it to the exsisting circuit.

Please Help Me, I'm so frusturated!

Why are you blaming the MAP sensor in the first place? Did it set a MAP sensor code? Have you checked for stored codes? What were the numbers?

A mechanic with previous Honda experience told me to try another MAP sensor, I guess he thought it might correct the problem.
No I didn't get any codes, the "Check Engine" light isn't on! Anyway I'd rather not have to pay $89/hr. For the service.

So, you would rather continue to throw parts at it that would far exceed the $89?
There's only so much that can be determined without examining the car.

I and a mechanic at Napa/Midas came to the same conclusion, when I get some money together, he will try to get the codes from memory charging me only $50
