My car is leaking fluid under the car, located under the front seats appox. I don't think it is oil for it is clear. My power steering went down after I filled it. Wondering if it is a pressure hose. Not sure how the steering fluid works. If it is a pressure hose is it hard to fix. Leaks only when car is running.

Hi lizardking,

If it leaks only when turning the steering, it should be a pressure hose and replacement is not too difficult but you need to get under the vehicle to be able to do it.

However from bottom part normally it is the power steering rack or valve body that usually causes the leak. It would leak when engine is started.

You need a visual inspection to confirm the source of the leak to know which is the cause.
