1993 Honda Accord Warranty on repairs from mechanic shop

My car's distributer was replaced last year. I took it to the mechanic shop that installed it. They told me that they would replace the distributer for free. However, I need to know if I'm supposed to pay for the labor.

That will vary between you and the shop. Some shops might include labor and others don't. I would suspect that you would pay. The part is defective and not the labor or the laborers fault.
