1993 Honda Accord Idle

In cold weather when the car is started, it will idle fine untill I put it in gear and then back into Park and then the idle jumps 1000 rpms or so back and forth untill the engine is warm and then it stops. Happens daily in the winter but not so much in the summer. Any ideas?

Check the coolant temperature, throttle position sensor and idle air control valve/speed controller.
