my gear selector light is flashing. What would cause this? Thank you

Hi J. Lane,

A Diagnostic Trouble Code has been recorded as the Transmissin Control Module has detected an error. You need to retrieve the error to find out what is wrong. Could be a speed sensor ( speedometer not working or erractic? ) or a faulty sensor or theirs circuit.

Bridge the SCS connector with a jumper wire and turn the ignition switch ON. Count the flashes on the D4 light , slow flashes = 10 and quick flashes = 1, and let me know.
