1993 Honda Accord engine check light

Engine check light on but not code, when I jump the connector the the light just do one blink end it is not fast for code 1. Oh it idel about 1000. Thanks

Hi carlos1234,

If the blink is a prolonged blink, it is a Code 10, a fault with the air intake temperature sensor locate on the intake manifold on driver side.

Hi thanks for your time but I did check the temp sensor for 1 to 4 oms and the connector fro 5 volts there are ok. And I did reset the ecu and the blinks are the same after reset, any idias the light just stays on can it be the ecu.

When the SCS is bridged and ignition switch turned on, the CEL should stay illuminated without any blinks if no codes are present.

Under above conditions, if the SCS is not connected and CEL stays illuminated while driving, most probably the ECU is bad. Check the ground circuit at the thermostat housing for looseness or contaminations. Improper ground connections can caused the symptoms described.
