Just bought this vehicle last month to get me around for a while and I also like the challenge of getting cars fixed up. The engine had no knocks when I bought it, but after I got the oil changed it knocks. I also had the air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, spark plug wires, water pump, and all belts. Should I use a heavier weight oil like 20-W50? What do you think?

What oil are you using? I would use a minimum of 10w30. If it's knocking and you are using 10w30, switch it up heavier. Or at some oil stabilizer to see if that helps.

I have a 91 accord ex with 306k on it so far lol
this haves from time to time and the valves and to be
reset I did it my self in about 1hr with simple tools then use a good oil like syntec or some thing with a high zynic content it helps with starts and grinding force on the cam as the f22a don't get as much oil on the cam as it really needs this noise can start if it has a bent valve
and I redid my head last week I found I have some badly burnt valves (thinks of the 301k on them)
most honda's like syntec or Castrol EDGE and I hate Mobil 1 I have yet to find out why but my car runs like crap on it

my car is a 91 accord org f22a1 modded yet stock block now runs 11psi g28 turbo dyno is 342hp 291tq
runs good just got sick of the auto and stuck a h22 stick tranny in. Honda's auto sucks
full new Energy Suspension kit best upgrade ever
and new balljoints and air cans all the way around
just got r34 body kit in mail today will paint bmw blue or ppg gray with really clean look. Has 3" all the way back with a cat and passed smog thank god has a delta 20 3.5 mufler to cut sound just a bit with turbo
it's about 10% louder then stock and dead quite in side cant tell if it's running both bov and waste gate dump in to exhaust bov after the cat this helps keep the sound down most people can't tell I have a turbo put 5,433miles on this setup not 1 problem yet
