1991 Honda Accord Antenna motor

My antenna makes a loud noise, struggling to move when the radio is turned on or off. Is there a way to disconnect the motor so the antenna remains up

Yes there is a plug at the antenna motor. Turn radio on until antenna comes up then unplug the motor. I hope this helps.
