1989 Honda Accord Ticking noise

Hope you can help, recently bought a 2nd hand 1989 Honda accord that has developed ticking noise as I accelerate. The sounds seems to be coming directly behind the speedometer on the dash board. I just wanted to find out if this is a common problem and how to fix it? Do I need a spare part and if so what parts do I need?

What youre probly hearing is the speedo cable spinning in the speeometer. If your speedometer works then its not a big deal. Is it loud? Is it annoying? If its really bugging you id try replacing the cable, if not then id just leave it alone.
