Engine Mechanical problem
1989 Honda Accord Front Wheel Drive Automatic 117000 miles

I asked a question earlier pertaining to my accord not holding an idle after a tune up but I ran across the pcv valve that was apparently cyliconed into place after it was broken so I went to take it out and it was attached to a "housing" of some sort, I was looking for a diagram to show you what I was talking about so the best I can do to help identify it is in the repair manuel on 9-3 (my engine is a20a1) there is a break down of the intake manifold. And just above where the intake manifold bracket is identified is a tube/hose but it has no name and no one at autozone/checkers can tell me what it is but I need to replace it because the pcv valve that was on it broke the "housing" so to speak. Can you help me out? Thanks in advance you guys have been a great help

Hi vewdew,

The PCV valve is attached to the crankcase ventilation box via a slight S shaped hose that is the housing for the PCV valve to plug in. The hose runs from the intake manifold down to the box under it.

It is bigger on 1 end than the other, bigger end plugged onto the ventilation box, secured by a spring clip, and smaller end has a locking slot which is plugged into intake maniold from below.

Sorry I could not find the proper name for the hose so you would have to describe it to the parts people and hope they understand. If you are unable to get it right, I will try to get the part number from my part people, however it might take some time.

Btw this should be a dealers only part so the local parts store might not have it.
