I went and got my oil changed in my 2005 Dodge neon and the mechanics told me that my coolant reservoir was empty. I put coolant in it the morning and then there was a puddle. I slowly just added to see where the coolant came out of and the is a hole in the back of the tank that it came out of. It sort of lines itself up with the full mark on the other side but is it suppose to be "capped" or is it there so dummies like me don't overflow the tank?

No it may be leaking it someplace else, have it pressure checked for leaks internally

If I had a way of taking a picture of what I'm talking about I would, it's just the tank is in an awkward spot. If you were to look at the tank from the front, you would see an upside "U" on your right side. And the hole is right behind the part But I psychically saw the fluid come out of this hole. It didn't pour out right as I added the fluid, but a few seconds after. I only had added about half of the gallon.
