Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

The cost will be different based on your location and what the hourly rates are in that area. What I have done is attache the parts and labor guide. It indicates one hour labor for replacement of the high pressure hose. Additionally, it shows part cost, which I feel is crazy.

Take a look at the picture. The next to the last thing listed is the labor for removal and replacement of the hose. Whatever the shop charges per hour X that amount should give you the labor cost.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions. I also attached picture 2 so you can see the hose and how it routes. You may want to do it yourself.

Let me know if I can be of help.

Take care,
Joe

I had the work done by a trusted mechanic with a hoist-it is 24 degrees bellow and the hose is leaking very bad (power steering fluid is pooling from leak), so that's why he did it in a warm garage (one of those immediate things). You are right the hose was that price you listed as well as the labor charged. Thanks again for the assistance. This website is right on and very helpful.
