High idle drains battery and emissions light on

I don't know where to start. It revs up 2,000 rpm's then will drop down then will do it again. Feels like engine shaking. Replaced battery and alternator replaced. I don't know what to do.

Hi,

The first thing we need to do is have the computer scanned to see what codes are stored in the system. Here is a quick video showing how it's done:

I realize most people don't own a scanner, but often times a parts store will do i free of charge. This is where we need to start.

Based on your description, the idle, shaking and so on, it sounds like there is an engine vacuum leak that is likely related to the emissions system. However, without the code, it makes it much more difficult
