Hello,
I came across a problem with my car the other night, when I went to turn my lights on only the high beams kicked on and there were no low beams. I tried turning the high beam switch on and off and sometimes the high beams turned off and the low beams stayed on if I held the switch a certain way, other times the lights would just turn off and stay off. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a failed multi-function switch in the steering column. Especially if moving the switch resulted in activity. If they did not respond at all then I would say to look at the TIPM.

However, this sounds like a failed switch. Replacement is not very hard. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Now remove the screw that holds the steering shrouds on. Then remove the shrouds. Once they are off you can see the screws that hold the switch in place and its wiring connector. Remove those and the switch will come free. Reverse the process to install the replacement switch. If you install a used switch, test it fully before you reinstall the shrouds.
