A few weeks ago my alternator went out in my car we replaced it along with the serpentine belt and the battery. My battery wont stay charged. I do not have air conditioning, but I do have an air conditioner bypass pulley, but when my dad went to put the serpentine belt on he decided he was going to bypass the air conditioner bypass pulley. Could that be one of my reasons why my battery is not staying charged or is it something else? If it is something else do you know what it is? Can you help me please? Thank you

First thing you have to do is check to see if it charges while idling or reving it a bit. Then check battery for condition including load test most places do for free. Then if that is ok then check for a parasitic draw which is covered in how to repair on site electrical then battery

We have a charger/ re-conditioner thing and have been as you said already and the battery passed all the tests and he has used the multi-meter to check for parasitic draw til he accidentally messed up that part of the multi-meter we do plan on getting another but we have been most of it before it messed up we have also done the battery wires.

Does it charge while the engine is running? It should have at least 13.5 volts. Check for a loose belt also check all the fuses in picture.
