Code P0011, A” Camshaft Position – Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1).

After about a week of the engine light on I was driving and the car started running pretty rough. High RPM's but not going very fast, I got to a stop sign went to turn and the car shut off. Started it and when I would hit the brake and not gas it to take off car quit running. I made it to a friend's and we change the camshaft sensor thinking that was the problem. After changing it drove a block and it shut off again. My friend unhooked a "Can't remember the solenoid" so that it wouldn't shut off anymore and I could at least make it back home. It drove without shutting off but would not get above 45 mph even with the pedal to the floor. The next day the car wouldn't start at all.

I searched on Google and seen people had changed the oil and it fixed issues.

Change the oil and filter, car ran better than ever. So I thought.

Next day I was on my way to work and the car started doing what it did in the beginning. High RPM's, it shut off 3 times then finally shut off for good.

Towed home, 3 days later, it started back up but has a loud knock'ish sound now. Have not tried to drive it since.

Video from last time I tried starting it.

Hello,

In the diagrams down below I have included the guide from the vehicle manufacturer for your vehicle for Direct Trouble Code[DTC] P0011. I have also included the portion of the set of power-train management wiring diagrams with the camshaft position sensor on it. I have also included guides on how to find opens and unwanted resistance in automotive electrical circuits. You will need to be able to use a Digital Multi-meter[DMM] for these guides, so here is a link explaining how to use one below:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-voltmeter

Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex
