My upper heater hose was sucked in a bit when I checked under my hood in the morning. I removed my radiator cap and the fluid was down a little bit. My reservoir is filled to its maximum mark. I thought I could smell coolant inside my cab of the truck but don't see or feel any coolant anywhere.

Hello,

Keep an eye out for coolant smell or a wet spot on your vehicle's floor board. If you do develop a wet spot on the floor board it will almost certainly be your vehicle's heater core that has gone out. This is the only problem that I could see happening from the information you gave us. Please keep us informed as to what happens.

Thanks,
Alex

What about the sucked in upper radiator hose? What would cause that if I possibly have a leak?

Hello again,

Is it a radiator hose or a heater hose? I'm sorry I overlooked that. Regardless of whether it is a heater or radiator hose, it should definitely be replaced. This could cause a restriction in your vehicle's cooling system and cause it to overheat.

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry, it is the upper radiator hose. It wasn't sucked in flat, but was sucked in enough that it was noticeable.
