Hi there, I been having problems with my heater blower fan for a while. Then it started only working on high only. I replaced the fan a resistor but still only working on high. What else could cause it only working on high?

Hey Jay,

There is a relay that controls the lower speeds, I don't have any info for wiring diagrams for this car since we are in the states. Check the owner's manual to see if it says anything, then swap some other relays around to see if you can find the right one.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.

Best, Ken

It was the blue relay on the back of the fuse box. All fixed now
I just wanted to recap what went wrong with my car so other vauxhall user don't suffer with this problem.

If you have ever been through a car wash or had plenty of rain and noticed the front passenger side footwell is wet then this for you.
There is a drain hole in front of the pollen filter. When this blocks up water can only drain out one way and that is through your blower fan. Which then end up in your car i.E passenger side carpet.

This water will damage and rust your fan motor. 1st sign is the resistor blowing. You will only be able to use 4 on your control settings this will also cause damage to the relay and fuse. The resistor controls settings 1, 2 and 3 by slowing the fan down.
If this problem is left you will end up having the replace the blower fan which I did. This is costly.

Unblock the drain hole and this solve the problem and not cost you a fortune in the future. I hope this help anybody having the same problem.
