I turn the heat on in my car and it doesn't get hot. The two heater core hoses get hot, and the top hose get hot but the bottom one does not get hot. So, l think it could be the thermostat.

The problem could be that the heater core is blocked, with one getting hot and the other staying cold. You can back flush the heater core each way a couple of times to try to clean it out with a water hose.

The heater core over time, they are known to clog and fail. If you have a heater core that is clogged, it’s not going to be able to pass coolant through. Without the warm coolant going through it, there can be no heat. You can switch the hoses to the heater core to see if there is a blockage. Do it when the car has not been running or hot.
Let us know what you find.
