Heat blend actuator: related issue

I've replaced the heat blend actuator several times. Turns out the part itself probably isn't the problem. The gear that it drives (not the fan-shaped cam but the gear coming from the main heater box) has a chip taken out of the plastic. I think this is causing the actuator's main gear to slip off when activated. I need that gear coming from the big heater box. It has numbers inside the edge. I've tried and failed to locate a part using any of these numbers but they are: T901971 and >PA66 GF-33

Yes that chip will cause the actuator to over extend creating the failure. This gear will be part of the HVAC plenum box and is only available at he dealer. Here is the part in question, also I would make sure the other gear moves freely, if there is an obstruction in the vent system it will cause the little gear to fail. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hmm, neither look like GM part numbers to me, where did you get them?

Lol. Oopps my bad. Neither of these are part numbers, I would call of visit the dealer to have them look it up.
