First thing is you need a test light or DVOM to perform tests to find out where power supply is being interrupted.

I have a fuse tester and a digital volt ohm meter butim not quite too sure on how to use it. It was making that buzzing sound and then it just stopped and so did the lights. When do I start?

The headlight circuit for your vehicle is a very simple and straightforward system.

At the left headlight, test the Red/Green wire for battery voltage. If voltage is available, ground the Red/Yellow and Red/Blackwire individually and if light comes on move on to the light switch.

If grounding the above 2 wires at light switch turns the lights on, it means the light switch is bad or the ground circuit is open.
