Hi,

As far as replacing the headlamp switch, it's not too hard, but you need to take your time when removing the plastic bezel around it. It is clipped in so take your time not to break any of the plastic clips.

If you look below, I attached the directions from the manual for replacing the switch. Take a look through them and let me know if you have questions.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe

Hi Joe, this is exactly what I was looking for, wanted to know if there were any hidden screws and didn't want to end up breaking any tabs on the panels. Next step is to get the headlight/fog light switch and assemblies. Couldn't believe the Ford dealer couldn't find the switch!
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi,

There shouldn't be any hidden screws. It is held in with the three retaining clips. Just be careful and don't force it.

I'm surprised too. This is a newer car. I find it hard to believe they couldn't find a switch. The OEM part number is AG1Z11654DA. If you type in Ford part AG1Z11654DA, you'll find them. I attached a pic below that I found.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

joe

Good morning, Joe, to be fair, I'm upgrading my headlights to include fog lights. The knockouts in the bumper are there but they weren't an option for the Taurus Limited. I had to find them on a Taurus Sho or the Lincoln MKT. My guess is that the parts dept person just didn't want to give me any wrong info.
Thanks very much for your reply and research. I had just about said the heck with it, but I have to make a couple of trips down to NC and some of those back roads are prone to early morning low lying fog. I just hope that this may be a solution and that my sister appreciates my efforts, lol!

Jeff,

You are very welcome. I hope it works out for you. I'm a little concerned if the wiring is already on your vehicle. I believe the fog lights require a relay and communication with the body control module.

Let me know. Also, if I can help, let me know.

Take care,

Joe
