Head bolts

I got a head gasket kit with head bolts the longer bolts are the same size as original. However the short bolts are slightly longer than the original by about an eighth of an inch. Will they still work?

Hello,

They should. Just keep an eye out when you are tightening them and make sure that they are not bottoming out. You will know when you torque them down if the head is in contact with the cylinder head. If they do bottom out, which I don't think they will, don't try to keep tightening them, just back them back out, and get the proper bolts. Again, you should be alright though.
