I'm doing timing on my vehicle listed above, while I am at it changing head gaskets and refreshing this motor with 91,000. My question is, can I reuse head bolt? Thanks.

For a 2010 Audi Q5, it's generally not recommended to reuse the head bolts. Here are the key reasons why:

Torque to Yield (TTY) Bolts: Many modern vehicles, including Audi models, use Torque to Yield (TTY) bolts for the cylinder head. These bolts are designed to stretch a little when torqued to specifications. This stretching provides the correct clamping force but means the bolt cannot be reused because it has already been stretched beyond its yield point.

Bolt re-usability

Replace the cylinder head bolts.

Always replace self-locking nuts, bolts which have been tightened to tightening specifications as well as gaskets and O-rings.

The plastic protectors installed to protect the open valves must only be removed immediately before fitting the cylinder head.

The engine oil and coolant must be changed if the cylinder head or cylinder head seal are replaced.

Cylinder Head Tightening Sequence on the 1.8L Engine

Tighten the cylinder head bolts in - 1 to 5 - sequence.

Partially tighten to 40 Nm using a torque wrench.

Turn another 90° using a rigid wrench.

Turn another 90° using a rigid wrench.

Partially tighten the bolts - arrows - to 8 Nm.

Tighten the bolts - arrows - 90° further using a rigid wrench.
