While driving it sounds like it is in the wrong gear

Someone said it sounds like the rear differential.

Hey PATANDPEGGY,

Does it shift through all gears correctly but you have an abnormal noise?

Does it have a lack of power or drivability issue or just the noise?

If you can describe the noise a bit better for us we can start narrowing down possible causes.

What speeds do you get the noise? Is it worse under acceleration/deceleration? Does it get worse when going around a bend?

Please give as much information as you can and we will go from there.
