Good morning all, I have the car listed above that I love to drive until this past two weeks. I recently had a vibration in the front end (vibration meaning grinding). I took it to a mechanic as I no longer possess a hydrolic press and my friend also operates a machine shop. So, after installing the wheel bearing I reassembled the spindle and strut, lower ball joint, half shaft and tie rod end. The grinding reappeared three miles down the road. Is the underlying problem the half shaft instead of the wheel bearing. Your help and assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Yes. The half shaft could be the problem if it is doing the same thing after changing the bearing. Did you do both sides or just one? Have you inspected for rocks, etc. Stuck in a break rotor? A surefire way to find out though, would be a get back at it and inspect it. Let us know what you find out, please.

Thanks,
Alex
