Interior problem
2002 GMC Yukon V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My dome light isn't working from the drivers door. It turns on with the switch on the dash. What do I need to replace to get it to work when the door is opened.

I don't know if you want to fool with diagrams? I have to magnify to make it readable, once I do that, i can only copy a small piece at a time. You see the courtesy lamp relay, that's just a ground circuit, the white wire goes to the driver door courtesy lamp, ground side, the black wire from the relay goes to ground. The coil symbol on the left of the relay, that's relay control, the top wire is voltage and the bottom ground. The bcm controls that ground. The bcm has to have a courtesy lamp request before it will ground that circuit. The request may come from a switch or sensor in the door. I don't know if this will help or not, I had to look at a lot of wiring. I'm starting to get confused, maybe somebody else can explain it better? I thought it was interesting.
