Disconnect ground from battery terminal.
Remove the 2 screws in the armrest.
Remove the triangular trim piece at the front bottom corner of the window.
Remove the trim piece around the door handle unit. There are 3 tabs that you must slide something flat in and push down to get this off. Careful not to break it.
The panel itself is held on by a series of plastic screws that are inserted into a plastic receiver.
Carfully pry each one loose.
Lift the door panel up.
Your window and lock control module will be hanging by wires but it will be fine.
Slide the door handle unit forward and it will come loose.
There are 2 connecting rods attached to the back of the unit, 1 for the lock, the other for the handle (that opens the door).
Disconnect the two rods using a pair of needle nose pliars. They should just unsnap.
Install new unit lining up the holes and pulling it back (towards the rear) it will lock in place.
Make sure you hook up the door light, towards the back of the door, re-install panel. And bezel.
