1991 GMC Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

1991 GMC 2500 350 engine. My wife was driving my truck to work and it hesitated a little like it was going to die but it made it. After she got off she tried to start the truck and it would only turn over but not start. I checked the fuel pump and it's getting fuel up to the carb but not to the injector port and I checked to see if it was getting spark and there is no spark. Any ideas on what I should do next?

If there is no spark at the plugs or injector pulse during cranking, I'd look for an rpm signal. Possibly the pick-up coil or ignition module. I'd check the wiring circuits before replacing anything.

I appreciate your input JD. Is this a hard thing to fix or is it something that myself, not knowing too much about vehicles, would be able to fix.
