Why does my engine act like its going to kill or kill when I press the gas?

This could be anything, plugged or clogged fuel filter, weak fuel pump, throttle plate dirty, air cleaner plugged. Or ignition problems. You could try to clean the throttle plate and IAC and TPS switch with choke cleaner and see if tht helps, check or change your air filter/fuel filter. See what happens. If you never have put spark plugs in they usually are only good for 100,000 miles.
