Why would there be moisture in the air breather?

What kind of moisture are we talking about
oil, water/condensation?

When you say breather do you mean air filter or the intake hose?

How far up the hose is the moisture?

The air filter housing should have a drain hole to let water that may get in it out. It may be filled with dirt. Unlikely but possible.
