2000 GMC Sonoma Right-front Noises

Not sure what the issue is. Someone suggested it was a CV joint on the right-front. The truck makes a woom-woom-woom noise in drive (only when moving forward) with vibrations. The boots look fine and undamaged.

You probably have a wheel bearing that is going.

You should take it to a technician to determine which one as noise from wheel bearings can travel through the truck and you could replace the wrong one.

This could also be a bad tire but still sounds like a bearing

Bearings usually range from $100 to 190 u.S.

And most garages will charge an hour to replace it.
And that depends on the hourly rate

The noise goes away when you shift it into 4wd High/Low. But comes back when you put it back into 2wd. What's up with that?
