1999 GMC Sonoma Engine light on

Hello, I'm 15 and concerned about why my "Service engine soon" light is on. It's a 99 gmc sonoma and also, when you give it some gas;it slows down;then goes up. When I hit around 25-30 mph the engine light starts blinking. I already know it needs plug wires, and has a misfire on 2 cylinders. Maybe that's it? But when you rev it up to about 2500 rpms it smoothes out. Runs like a champ. Other than when you gas it ; and get up to 30 mph. Can you help me? Thanks

If you can drive it legally, take it to nearest autozone, they read the codes for free, If you know it needs a tune up, start there, a lot of engine problems sprout from poorly maintained engines. If the MIL is flashing, it indicated that your catalytic converter may be getting damaged by the engine malfunction. Service it right away! Dont forget the filters, air and fuel!
