I have a 1998 sonama with about 180000 miles on it.I just replaced the complete fuel pump assembly.I took it for a test drive and it ran normal. The next day my sister was driving it to work and and kept losing power. She was going 60 then it would slow to around 40. She had to pull over and shut it off then it would run good gor about another 10 to 15 minutes. The didstubiter is going bad, could that be the problem or could it be the fuel filter?

Welcome to the forum. Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Did you change the filter and screen when replacing the pump? Also, with the spider fuel system, sometimes the fuel poppets need cleaning.

Use a fuel pressure gage. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage. You can call and ask.
