I accidentially shifted my 1500 HD into reverse at 75 MPH and I now have no reverse (whift indicator/milage light doesnt work, couldn't tell what gear I was in and was using gears in mountains to control speed while towing trailer. Ha, ha I know.). I heard a loud bang and the motor died. Pulled over, put it in park, restarted and was on my way. Got home and had no reverse. Is there something designed to break in such a situation or is tranny shot? All forward gears work flawlessly.

The reverse reaction sunshell is probably stripped, the sunshell design on these were garbage, very common on these, they break at 5mph.time for a teardown, only good thing is there not that hard to do.
