Hello,

Dropping the tank might be easier all you have to do is remove the 2 or 3 straps. You need a floor jack though and a piece of plywood about 12" x 12" or bigger depending on the size of the tank. You want to spread the weight of the tank over a bigger area than just the head of the floor jack.

Now you would put the jack under the tank and place the plywood on the jack and jack it up to the tank with just enough pressure to hold the tank when the straps are taken off.

Then let the tank down slow and just enough to be able to reach the connections to desconnect.

Then slowly drop the tank down and replace the pump assembly.

It may be a little harder depending on how full the tank is.
