2001 GMC Sierra oil pressure

truck runs fine, doesnt burn oil howerver the engine oil pressure sensor reads 60 when idling and 70 when driving, whis is pressure so high? what can i do to bring it down or is it ok like this?

This is an electric sender, so you need to find out actual oil pressure.

You can check pressure with mechanical gauge, screwed into oil pressure sender port.

If still high, you may have a clogged oil galley, but more than likely the gauge is misreading.
