2000 GMC Sierra V8 Four Wheel Drive 180, 00 miles

i'am working on a 2000 gmc pickup, it came to me with service engine light on which read cylinder 7 misrire. I instaled new plugs and wires. It still has a mii at idle and the check engine light is still on but reads out random cylinder misfire. I need to know what I need to look for now. Please help me with any thing I need to look for fix. Thank you, problem auto.

2000 was a transition year, what is the 8th digit of the VIN and engine size? The CPI (VIN R) 350s had huge issues with injectors and fuel regulators. If this is anew body style ( 5.3L0 then check the fuel pressure regultaor on the fuel rail to see if it is bad( fuel in vacuum line), that can cause random misses and long cranking
