My gmc sierra ran fine then it cut out while I was driving and would not start. I had it towed to a mechanic who replaced the ignition coil, it ran o.K. But when I tried to drive it later the engine would almost cut out then it would surge. It would do this repeatedly and the truck would lurch back and forth. What could this be?

Hello, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Can you check for codes? Some of the national brand autostores will check codes for free. If it is acting like that, I don't know why there wouldn't be a misfire code or something?
