I have a 1996 sierra 4.3 v6 it has 248,000 miles the trouble code reads third cylinder misfire an the check engine light stays on. But after idling for 15-20 minutes the check engine light starts to flash

Engine misfiring
check engine light flashing, PCM detecting danger of destroying the catalytic converter
and should not be driven
1st need to check it for tune up, if already done it
check injector and do a compression test
